Now for a little about me... A long time ago in a galaxy far, far, away... well, now you know I'm a sci-fi nut. But as I grew up a sci-fi nut my parents got me actively involved about the age of 8yrs old riding horses and showing locally. I grew up with Morgans entirely, occasionally rode a Quarter Horse, Arab, and many times Saddlebreds. I got very serious about my showing and equitation and have had the great privilege for riding with or for Anne Speck, Tim & Jane Morrell, Bob Kellert, Tom Tornatore, Michele McFarlane, Gerry Rushton, and many more. I've shown so many horses, famous and not so famous, but my favorite to date has always been my park gelding Shatona's Vindicator whom I've owned since he was 4yrs old, he's now 26! On the other side of me are my hobbies. While not a hobby, I am pleased to tell everyone I believe that Jesus Christ is my Lord and Savior. And through that some of my hobbies include singing, playing drums, percussion, guitar, recording engineering and running sound for large events or concerts. Recently I have become very active in the recording studio. I have also been able to co-produce 4 music albums and love to spend hundreds of hours during the winters months working on recording projects. The song you are listening to now is a song I produced as well as play drums and background vocals. Currently I am one of a very small handful of women certified in the software Protools, which is the recording industries main software for all recording production. My long term goal is to be fully educated in audio engineering. So more school is certainly yet to come. You will find a lot of my off horse show season is consumed with being a worship leader and media director at Cornerstone Church. Also at Cornerstone I give drum lessons 3 days a week ranging from working with 1st graders to adults with handicaps during the months of Nov through May. If someday you notice I drop off the horse show scene you will find me doing music full time. Also another hobby of mine is building computers, collecting ceramic horses, sculpting horses, computer games, and playing on the internet and tinkering with computers and pretty much disassembling anything my hands can get on. Yes, believe it or not I have free time to have a hobby! So how did I become a photographer? Originally I had decided to go to college as a graphic design major. I specialized in digital restoration and manipulation. But at the same time I tinkered at home taking photos of our foals as they grew up. Somehow I was abnormally good at it then from there it took over my life as my career. Now later I am finding the blend of the two mediums to be a perfect blend being able to add digital retouching, design, and much more. I have been voted in readers polls for the last 6 years as one of the top two photographers in this industry. I have been an official photographer for the Tournament of Roses Parade and an exclusive photographer for many top show horse barns. Last but not least I am happy to tell you I married March 11, 2000 to Larry Keough! I have 2 step sons, 2 cats, 6 horses, and one cricket under my office desk. Not sure what my new hobby will be next, it'll probably involve disassembling something. |
